So, how do you become a Client Support Professional affiliated with Arise? If you can answer 'yes' to the following 4 questions, you are in a great position to start the process by hitting the APPLY NOW button at the bottom of the page:
- Are you aware that this is a self-employment opportunity?
- Do you have a PC, landline and broadband connectivity at home?
- Are you able to work from home in an uninterrupted environment?
- Are you able to work legally in Canada?
Step 1: Become a Client Support Professional
Please note: We use a lot of acronyms so we will try and explain what each of these are as they appear.
Becoming a Client Support Professional (CSP) is a multi-step process with a few easy-to-complete requirements. If you are at least 18 years old, you can apply now. When you do, you will receive an identification number (called a CSPID), so you can check on your application status within a few business days. Here is how the process works:
- Create a Client Support Professional profile - when you do, you will receive an identification number (called CSPID) and login information to check on your application status and return to your profile to continue the Admissions Process.
- Each applicant is required to:
- Provide a criminal background check - using the myBackCheck.com link in the Admissions Process.
- Complete the 45-minute Ideal Match assessment for computer proficiency, business judgment, data entry, voice proficiency, and your business acumen - the assessment demonstrates your skills and helps Arise align you with available opportunities.
- Successfully complete the Arise basic Certification program CSP101 - an introductory online certification program which will allow you to qualify as a Client Support Professional - since the program is self-paced, you may complete it in as little as 10 hours, but you have 5 full calendar days if you need the extra time.
Step 2: Form or Affiliate with an Independent Business Owner
Arise only contracts and partners with incorporated entities or independent business. It is easy to establish an independent business, which is simply an incorporated entity (e.g. Ltd., Inc., Corp.) that you own and through which you will operate your customer contact services business. You have two options at this point:
1) Set up your own Corporation at the federal or provincial level. Federal Incorporation is available online for $200 from Industry Canada, or from 3rd party providers such as Corporation Centre (prices vary). If you have an existing corporation, you may be able to use it. Speak with a lawyer, accountant or your bank for expert advice.
2) Join an existing Independent Business Owner Partner in good standing run by another Client Support Professional. Some have multiple Client Support Professionals already working for them.
Once you have incorporated your business, you must sign the Independent Business Owner contractual documentation electronically.
After you sign the Independent Business Owner documentation electronically, your independent business will be affiliated with Arise!
If you have joined an existing Independent Business Owner, it should already by affiliated with Arise.
Step 3: Set Up Your Home Office
You are almost ready to unleash your earning potential with the flexibility you have always dreamed about. The final step is setting up a home office that meets the technology requirements and other specifications for serving Arise clients. In order to provide consistent, high standards of service, please review the FAQs, which outline the requirements including:
- A Corporate bank account to accept direct deposits
- High-speed Internet access
- Separate no-frills telephone line
- E-mail account with an approved ISP
- A fully wired telephone with keypad and headset (not wireless)
Once you have successfully demonstrated an office set up that meets Arise standards, you can choose opportunities you would like to serve (at the start in Canada, there will be one Client Opportunity), obtain certification, and start earning service fees and experiencing work-life balance.
*Throughout this process, we may need to contact you to update you on your status, so please remember to provide us with a valid e-mail address. In addition, be sure to check your SPAM mail or JUNK mail folders in case your ISP filters our messages.
All pricing indicated by the $ sign is in Canadian dollars.
